I've been stitching since April 2013 but it has become a permanent fixture in my life, the need to stitch each day has become essential.
Below are some of my completed works of 2013:
From top left to right they are:
1. Disney Princesses by Wee Little Stitches
2. Lumpy Space Princess from Sprite Stitch forum
3. Batman's Enemies by Cloudsfactory
4. Pretty Little Sydney by Satsuma Street
There were a couple of other things that were given away as gifts, so it was definitely a great year stitching wise. :)
I also have two WIPs right now, with progress shown below:
Punch of Colour Girls 4 by Hannah Lynn on HAED
(Fabric by Colour Cascade Fabrics)
Been working on this one since around September, but took a break to work on another so progress lately been slow. Only really picked it up in the last week and a half and really loving stitching it, 1 over 1 on 25 count so it's tests my eyes a little, especially when stitching colours similar to the fabric (which is more silver than the photo lets on).
This is what it will look like (hopefully) when finished:
This is my other WIP, or more like UFO because it's been shelved in favour of the above WIP:
This is not the most updated it is, I've completed the pirate flag and another of the sails but the photo I just took ended up being quite fuzzy and now the effort of taking another seems all too much.
It's from the June 2013 issue of The World of Cross Stitching, designed by Lucie Heaton.
That's all for now and hopefully I can keep this blog updated with my cross stitch progress :)
Hi Katrina, thanks for visiting my blog and entering the Grow Your Blog contest. I always reply to comments by email but you have noreply-comment. I'm a new follower of your blog now. You should add the Google Friend Connect tab so others can follow your blog too.
ReplyDeleteI love your Disney Princesses! I have started that one too but only stitched Jasmine. Wee Little Stitches just added on 2 more princesses from Frozen. If you send them an email with your proof of purchase, she will send you the new chart for free. I recently found the Pretty Little cities by Satsuma Street and hope to stitch them some day. Your pirate ship looks great! I almost thought it was the Cut Thru' Pirate Ship by Bothy Threads, another one of my WIPs. Have fun stitching and blogging!
Lovely work Katrina.
